The exhibition "Ferrari One of a Kind" at the Enzo Ferrari Museum has been enriched with a new exhibit—the Roma Spider convertible from the Tailor Made department.
The car showcases not just the personalization program's capabilities but also innovative production techniques—of which there are quite a few.
For instance, the seat upholstery material is made by weaving thin strips of leather and rubber from old tires, and the wind rose and geographical coordinates of Maranello are laser-etched onto the hood.
The interior also features chrome-free tanned leather and wood with traceable origins. However, the real luxury is the decorative trim on the center console, made from molding sand taken from the foundry.
Specifically for this spider, Montblanc has released a pen in Oro Mida color with a gold nib coated in platinum. It comes with a notebook wrapped in Rosso Bologna leather and Pelle Metalizzata Oro Mida, matching the Roma Spider’s interior.
There are no changes to the mechanics. The engine is a turbocharged V8 3.9, which has won the International Engine of the Year award four times. The transmission is an eight-speed "robot" with two clutches.
The engine produces 620 horsepower and 760 Nm of torque. The convertible accelerates to 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds and to 200 km/h in 9.7 seconds. The top speed exceeds 320 kilometers per hour.
