In the fast-paced rhythm of modern life, finding time for intimacy can be a real challenge. Research conducted by Pour Moi reveals which days of the week and times of day people prefer for sexual activity and what factors influence these preferences.

Saturday — The King of Intimate Time

According to a survey of 2,000 respondents from the UK, the USA, Canada, and Ireland, Saturday tops the list of the most popular days for sexual activity. More than 43% of respondents indicated that they prefer to spend intimate moments on this day. This trend is easily explained: on Saturdays, many people can relax and enjoy quality time with their partner without worrying about work and other responsibilities.

Following Saturday, Friday comes in second with 22% of respondents, and Sunday is third with 10%. Monday and Tuesday, as well as Wednesday and Thursday, see significantly lower levels of sexual activity.

The Time of Day Matters

The study also found that the highest interest in intimate encounters occurs in the evening, especially between 10:00 PM and midnight. More than a third of respondents reported that they most often have sex during this time. Interestingly, 80% of them specified the exact time — 10:09 PM. "Weekend evenings generally create ideal conditions for intimacy: people are relaxed, less distracted, and ready to enjoy their time together," explains Marina Nicoli, marketing manager at Pour Moi.

The next most popular time frame is from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM, chosen by 27% of respondents. The least popular time for sex is early weekday mornings, with only 4% admitting they prefer sex between 6:00 AM and 8:00 AM.

How Often?

When it comes to the frequency of sexual activity, nearly half of the respondents (48%) reported having sex once a week. 19% said they are intimate twice a week. Daily sexual activity is rare, with only 1% of respondents adhering to this practice.

Interestingly, most people consider having sex twice a week to be ideal. Women aged 25 to 45 often express a preference for having sex four times a week, while men in the same age group find twice a week sufficient.

Despite the hectic pace of life, weekend evenings and Saturdays remain the most preferred times for intimate relationships. These findings highlight the importance of finding time for closeness and joy in relationships, even amidst modern stress and busy schedules.
