When the stress and hustle of city life start to weigh you down, the dream of escaping to a warm and picturesque place becomes especially tempting. And if a vacation still feels far away, LEGO comes to the rescue with an incredible new set that transports you straight to the Italian Riviera, right in the heart of the legendary Cinque Terre coastline.

The LEGO Ideas Italian Riviera (21359) isn’t just a toy—it’s a true architectural masterpiece made up of 3,251 pieces, designed for adults and dedicated to capturing the lively, authentic atmosphere of a Mediterranean fishing village. Behind this project is Oregon-based fan designer Alex Sahli, who, through the LEGO Ideas program, made millions of people’s dream come true: owning their own little slice of Italian sun and sea—but in miniature.

At the center of the set are three colorful buildings arranged at charming angles: a cozy gelato shop, a diving gear store, and a bustling fish market. Each building is crafted with astonishing precision—from the textured stone walls and roofs down to the tiniest interior details. Alex paid special attention to the roofing and stonework—here you can really feel the spirit of the Mediterranean.

What truly brings the set to life are the ten minifigures that animate each scene. A pasta-making nonna, a friendly gelato vendor, a fisherman with his catch—they all tell their little stories and create the feeling that you’re strolling through the narrow streets of Italy.

LEGO fans can get exclusive early access to the set starting August 7, with the official release on August 10, 2025. Priced around $300 USD, it’s a fair deal considering the level of detail and uniqueness. And as a bonus: purchases made between August 7 and 13 come with a free “Mediterranean Scene” gift set (while supplies last).

For those who don’t just love building, but also enjoy immersing themselves in the atmosphere, creating stories, and appreciating aesthetics, this set is like a breath of fresh sea air in the world of plastic bricks.

Escape to Italy without leaving your home? With LEGO Italian Riviera—easy. It’s a great reminder that real adventures aren’t always where you are, but where your mind is.
