If I Could Live My Life Again: Lessons of Freedom and Joy

If I had the chance to live my life again, I would do one important thing — allow myself to make more mistakes. The perfectionism I was obsessed with often prevented me from enjoying the simple moments. I would stop being afraid of looking foolish and taking everything so seriously.

If I had the chance to live my life again, I would do one important thing — allow myself to make more mistakes. The perfectionism I was obsessed with often prevented me from enjoying the simple moments. I would stop being afraid of looking foolish and taking everything so seriously.

Instead of constantly thinking about how everything should be perfect, I would take more risks. Risk would open new horizons for me: more travels, more encounters with the world. Sunsets I never saw would become part of my life, mountains I never climbed would remain behind as symbols of missed opportunities.

I would definitely eat more ice cream and worry less about the usefulness of food. After all, the joy of life is in the little things — in the fresh spring air, in walking barefoot on the grass. I would take my shoes off at the beginning of spring and only put them back on at the end of autumn. The sense of freedom from this would seem extraordinary and would fill each day with lightness.

Living life again, I would avoid invented problems. Real problems are solvable, but the ones we create in our heads often drain energy. I would look at the world more simply, smile more often, and play with children. In their innocent eyes, there’s that same simple joy that we often forget.

Perhaps in this new life, I would manage to see more sunrises, find cozy corners where I could stop and just be. Because life is not only about goals and achievements but also about moments filled with lightness and happiness.
