Every man, at some point, considers resignation. Frustration, stress, and exhaustion might make it seem like leaving your job is the only way forward. However, before taking such a drastic step, it's important to pause and reflect. Often, our state of mind is temporary and might be a reaction to stress or fatigue. There might be ways to fix the situation without quitting.

Ask yourself some key questions to determine whether resignation is really the solution:

  1. Do you enjoy your tasks?
If your responsibilities no longer excite you, perhaps it’s worth discussing the matter with your supervisor. Maybe a change in tasks could bring back the spark.

  2. Do you feel personal growth?
For most men, feeling like they’re improving in their profession is crucial. If you don’t feel this way, think about how you can advance within your current role or company.

  3. How are your relationships with colleagues?
Working with a good team significantly enhances job satisfaction. If tensions exist, try improving communication and resolving conflicts.

  4. Does your income meet your expectations?
The financial aspect is significant. If your salary doesn't satisfy you, consider discussing a raise or finding additional sources of income.

  5. How are other aspects of the job?
Consider the commute, overtime, benefits, and how these factors affect your overall well-being. Are they satisfactory, or could they be improved?

  6. When was your last vacation?
Burnout and fatigue may stem from a lack of rest. Perhaps you just need a break to recharge.

  7. Did you enjoy your work before?
Think back to what initially attracted you to your job and if anything has changed. It might not be the job, but rather your internal shifts.

  8. Do you want to grow in this direction?
In five years, would you still want to work in this field? If not, maybe it’s time to change your career path.

Resignation isn't always the answer. Sometimes it's about adjusting your approach or trying to make changes within your company. Work is a major part of our lives, so it’s essential to find a balance where it brings satisfaction.

If you've decided to make a change but feel afraid of taking that step, don't worry. In the next article, I’ll explain how to overcome the fear of changing jobs.

I wish you success and fulfillment in your career!
