The Labfresh shirt is designed with a patented hydrophobic material. This new product truly lives up to its name: it stays fresh for a long time and requires infrequent washing.

The effectiveness of this technology is demonstrated by the startup founder, Lotte Vink. She pours red wine, coffee, and even berry jam onto a pristine white shirt. Unlike ordinary fabrics, the liquid stays on the surface and can be easily blotted with a napkin. With a splash of cold water, the signs of the spill disappear.

In addition to being resistant to stains, the hydrophobic treatment helps with sweat marks and even minor wrinkles. Therefore, Labfresh shirts do not need daily ironing and are suitable for wearing in hot weather.

The founder notes that similar clothing exists on the market. However, unlike competitors, Labfresh shirts have hydrophobic treatment embedded into the fibers rather than just a finishing layer. This ensures the shirt maintains the look and feel of a high-quality garment without the unwanted sheen of a raincoat.

The only downside to this innovation is the price, around 100 euros. Nonetheless, such a shirt is likely to last longer than several lower-quality ones from a nearby store.
