The sequel to the 2021 movie throws fans once again into the heart of the legendary Mortal Kombat tournament. This time, familiar heroes enter the arena, strengthened by the legendary Johnny Cage — a charismatic but flawed Hollywood star, reprised by Karl Urban. Fighting alongside him are Kitana (Adeline Rudolph), Sonya Blade (Jessica McNamee), Kano (Josh Lawson), Liu Kang (Ludi Lin), Jax (Mehcad Brooks), Jade (Tati Gabrielle), and Cole Young (Lewis Tan).

On the other side, the dark forces of Outworld, led by the ruthless Shao Kahn — the embodiment of evil — are ready to crush Earthrealm’s defenders. Villains include Quan Chi (Damon Herriman), Shang Tsung (Chin Han), Lord Raiden (Tadanobu Asano), Bi-Han, the original Sub-Zero (Joe Taslim), and Hanzo Hasashi, aka Scorpion (Hiroyuki Sanada).
