LEGO launches The Mandalorian into space... right onto your desk: the new N-1 Starfighter is here

Some things don’t need explaining. Like why grown men suddenly start rearranging shelves to find the perfect spot for a new LEGO set. Or why the word “pieces” suddenly sounds like a “weekend mission.”

Some things don’t need explaining. Like why grown men suddenly start rearranging shelves to find the perfect spot for a new LEGO set. Or why the word “pieces” suddenly sounds like a “weekend mission.”

And here’s another reason: LEGO has unveiled a new collector’s set from the Star Wars universe — and this is definitely not something you just put on a shelf and forget. It’s the iconic N-1 Starfighter from The Mandalorian, piloted by Din Djarin alongside Grogu.

And yes — it’s over half a meter long.

This set is part of the Ultimate Collector Series, which already sets the tone. This isn’t just a toy anymore — it’s practically an engineering project.

• 1,809 pieces
• length: 67 cm
• price: around $250

But the numbers aren’t the point. The feeling is.

This is the same N-1 Starfighter — but not the polished version from the prequels. This is a “battle-worn veteran” from The Mandalorian: rougher, more weathered, more alive.

LEGO intentionally moved away from perfect symmetry and sterile shine. Instead, you get complex textures, unconventional elements, and silver-coated details that capture the “metal fatigue” of a ship that’s seen too many hyperspace jumps.

The set also includes minifigures of Din Djarin and Grogu. And that’s not just a bonus.

That’s the story.

Because without them, it’s just a ship. With them — it becomes an adventure.

And yes, Grogu still looks like he could accidentally wreck half your collection using the Force.

LEGO adds one more nice touch: with purchases of Star Wars sets worth $160 or more, you get a collectible Darksaber.

And suddenly, your shelf isn’t just a collection anymore — it’s a galaxy.
