When it comes to summer style and casual elegance, iconic flip-flops are a must. Now imagine the classic is back — and bigger than ever. Havaianas, the brand known as a symbol of everyday Brazilian life, has relaunched its very first TRADI model, originally created in 1962.
These flip-flops were the only silhouette the brand produced for three decades. Their simple, minimalist design and white sole made the TRADI a staple of every Brazilian wardrobe. For outsiders, they became synonymous with ease and effortless style, and in recent years, Havaianas has also won hearts across Europe, especially in Scandinavia.
The TRADI relaunch brings back the original design, now available in four colorways on a white sole: classic blue, vibrant pink, black, and a limited-edition brown. The simplicity of the design makes them versatile — perfect for the beach, city strolls, and of course, everyday life in the Carioca rhythm — the legendary style of Rio de Janeiro’s locals.
The campaign, shot by Rio-born photographer Raf Moura, showcases the TRADI in their natural habitat: flip-flops in the sand serving as goalposts for an impromptu football game, or clattering on cobblestone streets, setting the rhythm of city life. These images show that TRADI is more than footwear — it’s part of daily rituals, a symbol of ease and freedom with which Brazilians greet every day.
