The lead role is played by Ana de Armas, portraying Eve Macarro, a ballerina trained by the secretive Ruska Roma organization. Her journey is one of vengeance: Eve seeks to punish those responsible for her family’s murder. But, as with any John Wick film, the road to justice is paved with blood, bullets, and breathtaking fight sequences.

In a behind-the-scenes featurette presented at CCXP in São Paulo, Ana shared how she prepared for the role. Precise movements, intricate stunts, and grueling combat choreography training demonstrate that her character is not just graceful but lethally dangerous.

The plot of Ballerina takes place between the events of the third and fourth chapters of the franchise. It’s the perfect setting to delve into the assassin world and its code. Iconic characters like Winston (Ian McShane) and the Director (Anjelica Huston) return, joined by new faces: Norman Reedus, Gabriel Byrne, and Catalina Sandino Moreno.

The biggest treat for fans, however, is Keanu Reeves reprising his role as John Wick. This marks the first collaboration between Reeves and de Armas since their 2015 thriller Knock Knock.
