Vans x Engineered Garments: When Sneakers Become a Style Manifesto

How many pairs of sneakers do you own? Two? Five? Maybe ten? Well, now you’ve got another reason to add one more — because Vans and Engineered Garments have dropped a collab that breaks all the rules.

How many pairs of sneakers do you own? Two? Five? Maybe ten? Well, now you’ve got another reason to add one more — because Vans and Engineered Garments have dropped a collab that breaks all the rules.

Meet the OTW by Vans x Engineered Garments Slip-On 98. Two colorways — red/navy and black/blue. A classic silhouette, but with one twist: asymmetry. And this isn’t just a designer gimmick — the idea comes from an archival Vans ad where a skater wore mismatched sneakers. Legend has it he swapped one shoe with a friend who rode the opposite stance. That spirit of freedom and experimentation is back in 2025.

Engineered Garments put their own spin on it: they took the beloved Slip-On 98 and added their signature touch — colorblocking. The result? Sneakers that aren’t just worn but read like a visual manifesto.

Price — $100. Release date — August 28. Available now at the official OTW by Vans webstore.
