Horror fans and sci-fi lovers, get ready: the legendary Xenomorphs are finally stepping onto our home planet! The new series "Alien: Earth" isn’t just a sequel or another spin-off—it’s a milestone in the iconic franchise’s history. FX has just released the official trailer, and believe me, it’s a bombshell for all fans of horror and space action.
Set in the year 2120, two years before the events of the original Alien film, the story kicks off with the catastrophic crash-landing of the mysterious research ship USCSS Maginot on Earth. But this is no ordinary crash—the ship brings deadly creatures with it, including the most feared monster in the Alien universe: the Xenomorph. Against the backdrop of a “Corporate Era,” where five mega-corporations rule and synthetic hybrids are evolving to new levels, humanity must face a threat it never even dreamed of.
One of the most intriguing characters is Wendy, a hybrid— a humanoid robot infused with human consciousness, the first prototype from the Prodigy Corporation, played by Sydney Chandler. Her fate becomes intertwined with the darkest side of the universe as she comes face to face with the “perfect organism.” The trailer already teases tense scenes in claustrophobic ship corridors, encounters with various alien lifeforms, and hints at even more terrifying creatures—possibly even a Predator.
The cast also includes Timothy Olyphant, Alex Lawther, and Samuel Blenkin. Created by Emmy-winner Noah Hawley and executive produced by Ridley Scott—the father of the original Alien saga—this marks the first time in many years that the Alien story moves from the big screen to TV and streaming platforms.
The first two episodes will premiere on August 12, 2025, at 8 PM on FX, with new episodes following weekly. The series will be available to stream on Hulu in the US and Disney+ internationally.
If you’re ready to experience real terror and dive into a world where survival is a game on the edge of impossible, "Alien: Earth" will become your new favorite. It’s not just horror—it’s an adrenaline rush that shows what it means to be the hunter… or the prey.
Get your popcorn ready, turn off the lights, and prepare yourself: cosmic horror is knocking at the door.
